Agricultural & Diesel Equipment Technology
Perry Technical Institute’s Agricultural & Diesel Equipment Technology program offers students a diversified curriculum that guides them through the process of becoming an equipment technician in the agriculture and diesel equipment industries.
The objective of the program is to provide students with a broad base of knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the agriculture and diesel equipment industries. Students will diagnose, repair, modify, and overhaul a wide variety of equipment. Training will include exposure to diesel fuel systems, drive trains, hydraulics, electrical systems, and professional development for the agriculture and diesel equipment industries.
The goal for students who successfully complete this program is employment as entry-level technicians in the agriculture and diesel equipment industries. The Agricultural & Diesel Equipment Technology program is 12 months in length (four quarters). The student will earn 69.5 credit hours which are 1,344 clock hours. Tuition is payable on a quarterly basis. There are four quarters in an academic year.
Students will have externship opportunities at regular intervals throughout the duration of the program. The student to instructor ratio for the Agriculture & Diesel Equipment Technology program is 22:1.
